Factor: Role Clarity

The HPFF factor ‘Role Clarity’ clarifies the different roles that exist within the finance function. After all, “the financial” does not exist because there are different environments within the finance function in which financial professionals perform different roles. And these different roles come with different requirements. The associated characteristics are:

• in the finance function, there is a clear description of the technical requirements for each financial role;
• in the finance function, there is a clear description of the desired behavior per financial role; and,
• in the finance function, specific development programs have been established for each financial role.
